Celebration of Worship

Enter in Prayer - Worship with Gratitude - Go Forth to Serve

For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us… Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor.

at the works of your hands I sing for joy.

Gloria Patri

Invocation and Lord’s Prayer
We gather this day seeking your presence, seeking your blessing, seeking your community of sinner/saints, as we each and all strive to live in the ways of Jesus, who taught us to pray…Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Scripture Reading Matthew 7:1-5
“Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbor, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' while the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor's eye.”

Blood Drive at Plymouth
In the spirit of helping our community and saving lives, Plymouth Church would like to sponsor an American Red Cross Blood Drive. The Red Cross has several blood drive options depending on the number of participating donors. To help de-termine what type of drive is appropriate for Plymouth, we are asking those who are interested in donating blood to sign up in advance. We haven’t set a date yet and signing up now is not a commitment on your part. We’re just trying to get of count of potential donors so that we can arrange the appropriate type of drive for our church. A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall or you may call the church office, 684-0221. Please let us know by Aug. 22.
