Member support of Plymouth and the myriad activities constituting church life is critically important to our financial well-being. Each member needs to decide what level of giving is appropriate for them and collectively we must insure the stability of our operations and programs. In the Fall each year a stewardship campaign is conducted where members are asked to make a commitment to the on-going financial needs of the church as represented by a budget approved by the membership.
A wide range of Plymouth projects, including Word & Note, support of the Fine Arts, Warming Souls soup kitchen, special needs of the Plymouth Learning Center, and the monthly Mission Possible program, are supported by the church. Through our Missions Board the church regularly extends financial support to a variety of local, national, and international programs that benefit others in need.
Plymouth is home to and helps support a Learning Center for infants through young elementary age students. Approximately 70-80 children are enrolled. Past financial projects have included playground equipment, learning materials, scholarships, and a large shade umbrella for sunny days on the playground.
Word & Note is an annual event featuring nationally known author-theologians and musicians. The weekend program includes lectures, discussion, and musical presentations in the beautiful setting of Plymouth Church. The event is open to everyone. Funding includes honoraria, meals, lodging, and receptions to welcome our invited guests and audience members.
